About the Competition
JUS LEX 2026 is a premier Trial Advocacy Competition designed to strengthen law students' understanding of criminal law and courtroom practice. The competition is centred on the recently enacted criminal laws in India and provides a national platform for aspiring advocates to showcase their advocacy skills.
The competition seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and practical litigation by promoting:
Critical thinking
Persuasive advocacy
Strategic litigation skills
Practical courtroom exposure
Participants will engage in realistic trial simulations involving witnesses and judges, providing an immersive experience of trial court proceedings. The competition aims to prepare participants for the practical challenges of criminal litigation in India.
Eligibility
Open to students enrolled in a recognised 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme in India.
Each participating team shall consist of:

2 Witnesses

Commencement of Provisional Registration10 July 2026
Last Date for Registration - 20 August 2026
Preliminary Round - 15 September 2026
Advanced Rounds - 16 September 2026
Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony - 17 September 2026
Registration Fee
₹4,000 per team
Awards
Winner: ₹12,000
Runner-up: ₹8,000
Best Advocate: ₹1,500
Best Witness: ₹1,500
Registration Procedure
Registration must be completed through the official registration form.
Only 24 teams will be permitted to participate.
The registration fee is ₹4,000 per team.
All rounds of the competition will be conducted entirely in offline mode.
