Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Centre for Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Law (SDMLC), Mangaluru, is a legal education institution affiliated with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, and recognised by the Bar Council of India.
The college publishes LEX PLUS Student Law Review, its flagship peer-reviewed student journal, to encourage legal research and academic writing among law students. The journal follows editorial screening and blind peer review before publication.
LEX PLUS Student Law Review invites original manuscripts for Volume VII (2026) on the theme “Law in a Changing World.”
The theme encourages students to examine how legal systems respond to social, economic, technological and institutional developments. Contributors can explore evolving legal principles, emerging regulatory challenges and the role of law in addressing contemporary issues.
The call welcomes submissions in multiple formats, including short articles, long articles, case comments and book reviews.
The central theme is Law in a Changing World. Suggested areas include:
Consumer Law: Contemporary consumer protection issues and evolving legal remedies.
Corporate Law: Changes in corporate regulation, governance and commercial practices.
International Law: Emerging challenges in international legal frameworks and relations.
Legal Education: Developments in legal pedagogy, curriculum and professional training.
Technology and Law: Legal questions arising from technological advancement and digitalisation.
Artificial Intelligence and Law: AI governance, liability, regulation and the implications of automated systems.
Submissions should connect their analysis to the broader theme of legal change.
The call is open to:
Undergraduate law students enrolled in recognised law schools or universities in India.
Postgraduate law students enrolled in recognised law schools or universities in India.
Individual authors and co-authors, with a maximum of two authors per submission.
Authors are responsible for ensuring originality, compliance with plagiarism requirements and obtaining any permissions required for their work.

The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Manuscripts must be written in English.
Authors must follow the prescribed formatting and submission requirements:
Font: Times New Roman, size 12 for the main text and size 10 for footnotes.
Line spacing: 1.5 for the main text; single spacing for footnotes.
Citation style: Indian Law Institute (ILI) style.
Headings: Numbered, with bold or italics used according to the heading hierarchy.
File format: Microsoft Word only; PDF submissions are not accepted.
Cover letter: Must include the author's name, college, class, email address and phone number.
Review process: Editorial screening followed by blind peer review.
Manuscripts should be original, properly cited and prepared in accordance with the journal's requirements.
