About the Organizer

The DME Legal Aid Cell is organizing Jan Nyaya Mahotsav 2026, a comprehensive two-day legal fest dedicated to deliberating on labour rights, environmental compliance, and access to justice for victims.

Event Scope & Themes

Theme: Beyond Codes: Human Rights of Labourers, Eco-Compliance & Access to Justice for Victims

The fest comprises two major events:

• Expert Panel Discussion: Scheduled for 10 September 2026.
• Mock Lok Adalat: Scheduled for 10 and 11 September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Expert Panel Discussion: Open to all students, academicians, and practitioners.
• Mock Lok Adalat: Open to students currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme at any recognised law school/university in India.
• Multiple teams may participate from a single institution.
• Mock Lok Adalat teams must consist of exactly 3 members.

Prizes & Awards

• Winner (Mock Lok Adalat): ₹10,000
• Runner Up (Mock Lok Adalat): ₹7,000
• Best Client: ₹5,000
• Best Counsel: ₹5,000
• Best Judge: ₹5,000

Registration Fees

• Expert Panel Discussion: Online: ₹200 | Early Bird: ₹250 | Standard: ₹350
• Mock Lok Adalat: Early Bird: ₹2,000 per team | Standard: ₹3,000 per team
