T.S. Mishra Law School, T.S. Mishra University, Lucknow, is organising the National Youth Parliament 2026 through its Debate and Parliamentary Affairs Committee. The Law School focuses on legal education, research, professional development and experiential learning through activities such as national-level competitions and student-led initiatives.
The National Youth Parliament 2026 is a national-level parliamentary simulation designed to provide participants with practical exposure to parliamentary democracy and structured legislative deliberation.
Participants will assume designated parliamentary roles, research the assigned subject, prepare arguments, deliver speeches and participate in debates and rebuttals while following parliamentary procedure.
“Uniform Civil Code in Bharat” (U.C.C.)
Participants will research and deliberate upon the Uniform Civil Code Bill as part of the parliamentary simulation.
The event aims to:
Develop an understanding of parliamentary democracy and legislative institutions.
Familiarise participants with parliamentary practices, procedures, conventions and terminology.
Encourage research-based engagement with contemporary public issues.
Develop the ability to construct, present and defend reasoned arguments.
Promote tolerance, active listening and respect for diverse viewpoints.
Strengthen public speaking, communication, advocacy, leadership and teamwork.
Promote constitutional values and democratic responsibilities.
Develop an understanding of the relationship between public deliberation, policymaking and responsible citizenship.
Participants will be assigned parliamentary roles such as:
Cabinet Ministers
Opposition Leaders
Members of Parliament
The roles will be assigned through an automated system.
Participants will research and analyse the Uniform Civil Code Bill and deliver an address on the assigned subject. Each speech will be limited to three minutes, while participation in debate and rebuttal is mandatory.
Participants may speak in Hindi or English.
The event is open to:
Students currently enrolled in Classes XI–XII.
Undergraduate students from all streams.
Postgraduate students from all streams.
Ph.D. research scholars from all streams.
Students from colleges, universities and research institutes across India.
Multiple participants or delegates may register from the same institution.
