The Society for Advancement of Criminal Justice (SACJ) at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) is organizing the NUJS SACJ National Criminal Law Essay Writing Competition 2026. This prestigious competition invites law students, researchers, and legal scholars to critically engage with contemporary issues in criminal jurisprudence and contribute insightful perspectives to modern legal discourse.

Themes & Topics

• Theme 1: Manosphere, Online Radicalisation and Rape Culture.
• Theme 2: The Criminalisation of Dissent and Weaponisation of Public Order Laws.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students enrolled in any UG, PG, or PhD programme.
• Participants must be enrolled in an Indian University at the time of registration.

Submission & Formatting Guidelines

• Word Limit: 3,000 words.
• Authorship: Essays may be submitted individually or jointly. A maximum of two authors is permitted per submission.
• Submissions must be original, analytical, and unpublished.
