Pro.Verb 2026 National Parliamentary Debate Competition

The Yell Club of the Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is proud to announce the Pro.Verb 2026 National Parliamentary Debate, scheduled to take place on 31 October 2026.

About the Competition

Pro.Verb 2026 brings together dynamic student debaters from across the nation to clash minds and rhetoric in the Indian Parliamentary Style debate format. The competition will center on compelling, real-world, high-profile legal and societal controversies from India, evaluated through intense courtroom-style deliberation and argumentation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to 12th Grade (PUC / Senior Secondary) and undergraduate students nationwide.

• Teams must comprise exactly 2 members.

• Strict institutional cap: Only 1 team per institution is permitted to register.

Competition Format & Scoring

• Format: Indian Parliamentary Style Debate.

• Scoring Mechanism: Individual speaker performances will be judged and scored independently, directly contributing to the cumulative team ranking.

• Venue: Manipal Institute of Communication, Manipal, Karnataka.

• Event Date: 31 October 2026.
