About the Opportunity
This internship is tailored for aspiring litigators who wish to gain genuine, front-line exposure to court proceedings, strategic legal research, and nuanced procedural drafting. Rather than being confined to theoretical research, interns will be integrated into ongoing litigation matters, learning how complex cases are developed, argued, and managed from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct exhaustive research on statutory interpretations, case laws, and precedents across various judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
- Substantive Drafting: Assist counsel in drafting pleadings, applications, petitions, notices, and legal briefs.
- Court Practice & Exposure: Observe and assist in active court proceedings, gaining practical understanding of courtroom advocacy, matter listing, and case management.
- Case File Management: Review client documents, prepare case chronologies, and assist with matter preparation for upcoming hearings.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students currently pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree program from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and strong procedural drafting skills.
- A genuine, active passion for dispute resolution, advocacy, and courtroom litigation.
- High degree of professionalism, accountability, and the initiative to take ownership of assigned tasks.
