Anant National University is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Industry Engagement & Intellectual Property (IP) Manager to join the Aarambh Incubation Centre. About the Role
As the Industry Engagement & IP Manager, you will serve as a vital orchestrator between academic researchers, student innovators, industry leaders, and legal experts. Reporting directly to the Head of the Aarambh Incubation Centre, you will oversee the management of intellectual property, manage institutional filings, and facilitate commercial adoption and licensing of cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and sustain strategic alliances with industry leaders, governmental bodies, research organizations, investors, and corporate partners.
- IP Management & Operations: Oversee the institutional IP Cell, manage accurate documentation, and coordinate IP filings alongside student/faculty innovators and external patent professionals.
- Technology Commercialisation: Drive technology transfer, licensing agreements, collaborative research initiatives, sponsored research projects, and industry adoption of research outcomes.
- Ecosystem Building: Connect student innovators and incubated startups with industry mentors, venture funding networks, and strategic market opportunities.
- Outreach & Capacity Building: Lead IP awareness workshops, networking events, innovation outreach programs, and university-industry interaction initiatives.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Education: Master’s degree in Law, Intellectual Property, Design, Engineering, Science, Technology Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of specialized experience in IP management, tech transfer, industry engagement, or research commercialisation.
- Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IP systems, technology licensing, startup incubation, and government/industry funding frameworks.
- Preferred Qualifications: Being a Registered Patent Agent (India) or holding an advanced IP Management certification is highly desirable. Experience working within a TTO, IP Cell, or University Research Office is a strong plus.
