Role Overview
This dual role is tailored for individuals eager to gain firsthand exposure to trial and appellate advocacy. As part of the chamber, you will work closely on a wide variety of civil and criminal disputes, legal strategy formulation, court filings, and deep-dive legal research.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous research on legal precedents, statutory provisions, and regulatory updates using platforms like SCC Online and Manupatra.
- Draft court pleadings, plaints, written statements, writ petitions, bail applications, and legal notices.
- Prepare case briefs, legal opinions, and detailed case notes for court appearances.
- Assist lead advocate in court proceedings, client briefings, and trial preparation across various courts and tribunals.
- Manage case files, maintain tracking sheets, and liaise with court registries.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Degree in Law (LL.B. or Integrated B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
- Enrolled as an Advocate with a State Bar Council.
- Prior internship or practical experience in litigation chambers or dispute resolution practice is preferred.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical mindset, diligence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
