Practice Areas & Work Exposure
Interns will gain rigorous, hands-on exposure across a versatile litigation docket covering diverse forums in Mumbai. Key practice areas include:
- Criminal Litigation: Drafting bail applications, trial prep, and criminal procedural strategy.
- Commercial Litigation: Assisting in corporate disputes, commercial contractual breaches, and recovery proceedings.
- Civil Litigation: Property disputes, civil injunctions, summary suits, and writ petitions.
- Family Litigation: Matrimonial disputes, custody matters, and maintenance proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough case law analysis and statutory research using primary legal databases.
- Assisting in drafting pleadings, notices, affidavits, rejoinders, and written submissions.
- Attending court hearings, client briefings, and chamber conferences.
- Managing case files, case lists, and preparing comprehensive briefing notes for court appearances.
Eligibility & Mandatory Criteria
- Academic Standing: Currently pursuing the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year integrated law program (or final year of a 3-year LL.B.).
- Prior Experience: Must possess at least one previous internship experience in a litigation chamber or dispute resolution team.
- Location: Must be residing in or around Mumbai (the chamber is based in Bhayander East).
- Equipment: Must have their own functional laptop for research and drafting work.
- Commitment: Availability for a minimum duration of 6 months (on-site).
