This is a premier opportunity to work closely with a distinguished legal practitioner, gaining direct exposure to matters before the Orissa High Court, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Subordinate Courts, and various statutory Commissions.
What You Will Learn & Do
As a Legal Intern, you will not just be doing passive research; you will be deeply integrated into the chamber's active cases. Your core responsibilities and learning opportunities will include:
- High-Impact Legal Research: Sharpen your research skills using advanced online legal databases, focusing on landmark judgments of the Supreme Court and High Courts.
- Hands-on Drafting: Deserving interns will be trained to draft critical legal documents, including petitions, appeals, and commercial agreements.
- Courtroom Exposure: Witness live courtroom hearings and understand the nuances of oral advocacy and procedural law.
- Client Interaction: Attend client meetings and discussions to learn the art of client management and case strategy.
- End-to-End Case Understanding: Get all your doubts cleared regarding the lifecycle of a case, from initial filing to final disposal.
Eligibility Criteria
We are looking for proactive law students who possess:
- A strong foundational knowledge of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).
- Familiarity with the Transfer of Property Act, Constitution of India, Indian Contract Act, Civil Procedure Code (CPC), and the Companies Act.
- Excellent analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
