About the Role & Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager in the Cyber Team, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and secure their data assets. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Policy Development: Designing and implementing robust data protection policies, procedures, and governance frameworks tailored to client needs.
- Risk Assessments: Conducting comprehensive data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs), privacy risk assessments, and developing strategic risk mitigation plans.
- Compliance Monitoring: Overseeing and auditing data processing activities to ensure strict alignment with domestic and international regulatory standards.
- Privacy Engineering: Designing, developing, and redesigning privacy controls, security frameworks, and data governance processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with internal multidisciplinary teams and external corporate clients.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for technology law and privacy compliance. To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or tech-legal advisory.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B./B.A. LL.B.), Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of global data protection laws (such as GDPR) and India's evolving data protection framework (DPDP Act).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex client engagements.
- Certifications (Preferred): Industry-recognized credentials such as CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E, or equivalent privacy certifications will be highly valued.
