Are you an experienced labor and employment law practitioner ready to step into a high-impact, direct-ownership role inside a rapidly growing global organisation? Lawlit is thrilled to present a stellar opportunity for an Employment Law Specialist via Flexiple, placed within the internal legal function of a premier Big-4-style professional-services firm building out its multi-city India centre.
About the Role & Partner Organisation
As the firm expands its headcount across several key cities in India, maintaining defensible, compliant, and forward-looking employment practices is paramount. Placed through Flexiple—a elite talent and team-building partner powering 100+ global brands—you will join the internal legal department and work directly alongside HR business partners. This is not an abstract policy-writing job; you will handle live cases, complex workforce challenges, and dynamic state-specific legal nuances in real-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR & Leadership Advisory: Provide actionable, legal-risk-mitigated advice to business leaders and HR partners across hiring, performance management, and workforce exits.
- Contract & Policy Management: Draft, review, and refine employment contracts, workplace policies, restrictive covenants, and sensitive internal HR communications.
- Disciplinary & Compliance Oversight: Direct end-to-end management of workplace disciplinary actions, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) inquiries, and contested termination proceedings.
- Regulatory Tracking: Monitor multi-state Indian labor law updates, the Shops and Establishments Act, and evolving labor codes to dynamically adapt internal operations.
- Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Coordinate with and direct external legal counsel, representing the firm in labor court or conciliation proceedings whenever required.
Who Should Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on employment law experience gained either in-house or within a reputable law firm’s labor practice.
- Qualifications: An LLB degree with active enrollment as an Advocate in India.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Strong practical command of the Shops and Establishments Act, POSH Act, statutory benefits, and India's state labor codes.
- Track Record: Direct execution experience in managing disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, and exits (not just advisory oversight).
- Communication: Outstanding legal writing skills tailored for non-lawyer stakeholders—delivering clear, HR-friendly, actionable advice.
What This Seat Offers
- Direct Ownership: Full accountability over employment law strategy across a scaling, multi-state, multi-city workforce.
- Integrated Partnership: A true seat at the table with HR leadership, bridging legal risk with business growth.
- Future Opportunities: Applying through this process automatically places you into Flexiple's vetted network for future high-caliber roles.
