HDFC Bank is inviting applications for the position of Legal Advisor based in Bhubaneswar to deliver legal support across corporate, commercial, banking, and financial services operations.
Key Responsibilities / Competition Scope
- Agreement Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various banking and commercial agreements.
- Digital Banking Support: Advise internal teams on legal aspects and compliance surrounding digital banking initiatives.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Provide day-to-day legal counsel to internal business units and coordinate with external legal counsels.
- Due Diligence & Research: Conduct due diligence on operational documents and assist senior team members with legal research on complex transactions.
- Regulatory Tracking: Monitor and disseminate legal updates regarding statutory changes, precedents, and regulatory directives.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- A degree in LL.B. from a recognized university.
- 0 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate law, banking, or financial services.
- Strong grasp of corporate and commercial law, as well as statutory frameworks governing the banking domain.
- Working knowledge of the Information Technology Act, Banking Regulation Act, data privacy regulations, and RBI Guidelines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in contract drafting, legal interpretation, communication, and stakeholder management.
