About the Opportunity / Organizer
Jitendra Chartered Accountants (JCA), established in 2001 as part of the Jitendra Consulting Group, is a leading Dubai-based firm and founding member of JCA International. Specializing in accounting, auditing, tax, business setup, and legal support services, JCA is looking for an experienced and driven professional to step into the role of IP Head (Patent, Trademark & Copyright) based remotely in India.
Key Responsibilities / Competition Scope
- Oversee and manage the firm's overall Intellectual Property portfolio across Patent, Trademark, and Copyright practice areas.
- Manage end-to-end client inquiries from initial contact to conversion with high responsiveness and professional excellence.
- Draft patent specifications, trademark applications, copyright filings, legal correspondence, and official responses to examination reports and office actions.
- Lead the commercial aspects of the IP practice, including fee proposals, pricing strategy, and preparing client quotations.
- Provide strategic legal advisory to clients regarding IP protection, renewals, assignments, oppositions, appeals, and enforcement.
- Coordinate filings and prosecution with foreign associates, legal counsel, and registry offices across global jurisdictions.
- Ensure quality assurance, legal accuracy, and high standards for all legal documents prior to official submission.
- Drive business development, identify new client opportunities, and support internal coordination across departments.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Science, Engineering, or a related field (a specialized qualification in IP law is preferred).
- Proven track record and hands-on experience in IP practice, covering patents, trademarks, and copyrights (including drafting and prosecution).
- Strong knowledge of the commercial side of IP services, client acquisition, and fee structuring.
- Superior legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, and client-management skills.
- A valid passport and full availability for domestic and international travel for business development, client engagements, and IP office visits.
