Key Responsibilities
As an Associate in the Legal Shared Services division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the global legal function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of corporate and transactional documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), non-reliance and reliance letters, commitment and syndication letters, and medium-term notes issuances and programme updates.
- Legal Analysis & Advisory: Provide top-tier legal analysis and support on complex legal projects, strategic deals, and remediation initiatives.
- Legal Research: Conduct deep-dive legal research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
- Gap Analysis: Perform meticulous gap analysis of transaction-specific and client-specific deviations from standard templates, playbooks, and policy manuals.
- Corporate Governance: Manage signing authority and corporate governance operations, including Powers of Attorney (POA), Delegations of Authority (DOA), certificates, authorized signatory lists, and system records.
- Legal Tech & Automation: Identify opportunities for process automation and collaborate closely with technology teams to develop and implement innovative legal-tech solutions.
Who We Are Looking For (Eligibility Criteria)
To excel in this role, you must bring a robust academic background and a proven track record of legal excellence:
- Education: Law graduate (LL.B. or integrated law degree) from a premier law school in India.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in corporate law, compliance, or legal operations.
- Skills: Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal and presentation capabilities.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Data Literacy: Comfort working with metrics, data measurement systems, and legal-tech tools.
