About the Role
As a Legal Associate specializing in Factory Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients with factory, labour, and statutory compliance matters. You will be the bridge between regulatory frameworks and operational excellence, ensuring that client facilities operate smoothly within the bounds of Maharashtra's legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Handle end-to-end factory and labour law compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Licensing & Registrations: Support and manage statutory registrations, licenses, and timely renewals.
- Audits & Reviews: Conduct comprehensive factory compliance reviews and audits to identify potential risks and gaps.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous statutory registers, records, and documentation.
- Advisory Services: Advise clients on applicable labour and factory legislation, keeping them updated on regulatory shifts.
- Regulatory Liaison: Support inspections, respond to notices, and manage compliance-related queries from government authorities.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with client HR departments, factory management, and local regulatory bodies.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated, relevant experience in factory compliance is mandatory.
- Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of Maharashtra-specific labour, factory, and statutory compliance laws, including the Factories Act and upcoming Labour Codes.
- Local Insight: Practical understanding of local regulatory processes, authorities, and working practices in Maharashtra, particularly the Ratnagiri region.
- Skills: Excellent legal drafting, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Languages: Fluency in Marathi, English, and Hindi is essential for effective local coordination.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to client/factory locations as required. Candidates based locally or willing to relocate to Ratnagiri are highly preferred.
