Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our in-house Legal & Compliance team in Mumbai. This on-site internship is designed for proactive law students who want hands-on experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, e-commerce regulations, and consumer tech compliance. You will work directly under the guidance of seasoned legal professionals, contributing to real-world business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Review: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and redlining various commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), service agreements, and marketing contracts.
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research on evolving legal frameworks, including consumer protection laws, e-commerce guidelines, data privacy regulations, and intellectual property rights (IPR).
- Compliance & Governance: Support the team in tracking regulatory compliances, corporate secretarial filings, and internal audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with business, marketing, and product teams to understand legal requirements and help streamline internal processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree from a recognized law university.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, Companies Act, and Intellectual Property laws.
- Exceptional analytical, drafting, and legal research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior internship experience in a corporate law firm or a tech startup's in-house legal department is highly preferred.
