About the Internship
NITI Aayog invites applications from eligible undergraduate students, postgraduate students and research scholars enrolled in recognised universities or institutions in India and abroad.
Selected interns work with the relevant divisions or verticals of NITI Aayog and may contribute to policy inputs, empirical analysis, briefing reports, research papers and other assignments relevant to their assigned area.

Objectives of the Internship
The programme aims to:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be bona fide students of a recognised university or institution in India or abroad and satisfy the applicable academic requirements.
1. Undergraduate Students
Applicants must have:
Completed or appeared in the term-end examinations of the second year or fourth semester of their bachelor's degree programme.
Secured at least 85% marks, or equivalent, in Class 12.
2. Postgraduate Students and Research Scholars
Applicants must have:
Completed or appeared in the term-end examinations of the first year or second semester of their postgraduate programme, or be pursuing research/Ph.D.
Secured at least 70% marks, or equivalent, in graduation.
3. Students Awaiting Admission to Higher Studies
Students who have appeared in their final examinations or recently completed graduation/postgraduation and are awaiting admission to higher studies may also be considered, subject to the following conditions:
They must have secured at least 70% cumulative marks across the years or semesters of their completed programme.
The period between the month in which the final examination result was declared and the desired internship month must not exceed six months.

Internship Duration
The internship must be for a minimum of six weeks and cannot exceed six months.
Interns who do not complete the prescribed internship period will not receive a completion certificate.

Workplace: Relevant vertical, division or cell of NITI Aayog
Interns are required to arrange their own laptops. NITI Aayog provides workspace, internet access and other facilities as considered appropriate by the concerned division.
