About the Opportunity / Organizer
The NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) serves as the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India, tasked with catalyzing economic development and fostering cooperative federalism. Chaired by the Prime Minister of India, NITI Aayog works closely with government ministries and state authorities to drive strategic national policy decisions.
Key Responsibilities / Internship Scope
Interns will work directly with various Verticals, Divisions, and Units of NITI Aayog in New Delhi. Key duties include:
- Gaining firsthand experience with government functioning and national developmental policy frameworks.
- Contributing directly to policy formulation by preparing briefing notes, policy papers, and research reports.
- Conducting empirical analysis and data synthesis across key governance sectors.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Bonafide students enrolled in recognized Indian or foreign institutions are eligible under the following criteria:
- Undergraduate Students: Must have completed or appeared for 2nd year / 4th semester exams and secured at least 85% marks in Class 12th.
- Postgraduate / PhD Scholars: Must have completed or appeared for 1st year / 2nd semester exams, or be pursuing PhD, securing at least 70% marks in Graduation.
- Recent Graduates: Candidates awaiting admission to higher studies can apply if they secured 70%+ cumulative marks, provided the gap between final results and internship start date does not exceed 6 months.
Stipend, Duration & Perks
- Duration: Minimum of 6 weeks up to a maximum of 6 months.
- Certificate: Official Certificate of Internship awarded upon successful completion of the full duration.
- Location: On-site (New Delhi).
