This opportunity is tailor-made for law graduates looking to gain intensive, hands-on exposure to Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) proceedings, High Court litigation, and banking laws. Crucially, the internship serves as an assessment period enabling the firm to evaluate candidates for a potential long-term association.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth legal research on active disputes and emerging statutory and regulatory issues.
- Assisting with regular court visits and actively observing proceedings before the High Court and Tribunals (such as the DRT).
- Drafting legal notices, pleadings, applications, and other critical court documents.
- Analyzing complex case files, judgments, and statutory provisions to support litigation strategy.
- Collaborating directly with the litigation team for comprehensive case preparation and trial management.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Applicants must be law graduates (LL.B.) from a recognized university or law college.
- Strong capabilities in legal research, procedural drafting, and case law analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency in online legal databases, search tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of computer proficiency with rigorous attention to detail and professional commitment.
