The Office of Ms. Shubhra Parashar, Senior Panel Counsel for the Union of India before the Delhi High Court, is inviting applications from law students for an in-person internship in New Delhi.
Ms. Shubhra Parashar has over 26 years of professional experience in the legal field. The internship offers students an opportunity to gain practical exposure to litigation, legal research, drafting and court-related work.
About the Internship
The office is offering two legal internship positions for a duration of three to four months. Selected interns will assist with matters before the Delhi High Court and the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
The internship is intended for students who are committed to developing their legal research, drafting and litigation skills and can complete the required internship period.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a three-year LL.B. or five-year integrated law programme.
Be available for the full internship duration of three to four months.
Demonstrate good legal research, drafting and communication skills.
Preference: Students in the third year of a five-year integrated law programme or the final year of a three-year LL.B. programme may receive preference, subject to suitability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected interns will assist with the following tasks:
Litigation assistance: Supporting matters before the Delhi High Court and the Central Administrative Tribunal.
Legal drafting: Preparing replies, counter-affidavits, applications and other legal documents.
Legal research: Identifying relevant statutory provisions, case laws and judicial precedents.
Case preparation: Preparing case briefs, research notes and supporting documents.
File management: Organising case files and assisting with other litigation-related assignments.
The role provides practical exposure to court proceedings and the preparation of legal documents used in litigation.
