Practice Area & Work Mode
- Practice Area: Patent Prosecution (Electronics, Software, Electromechanical)
- Location: New Delhi (On-site)
- Experience: 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
Key Responsibilities
- Patent Drafting: Conceptualize, draft, and file robust provisional and complete patent specifications across electronics, software, and electromechanical domains.
- Patent Prosecution: Handle end-to-end prosecution matters before the Indian Patent Office (IPO), formulating strategic responses to First Examination Reports (FERs) and Office Actions.
- Hearings & Representation: Prepare legal and technical arguments, represent clients, and attend oral hearings before the Controller of Patents.
- Strategic Advisory: Advise innovators, enterprises, and research organizations on prosecution strategy, claim scope optimization, and nuances of the Indian Patents Act, 1970.
- Practice Management: Independently oversee assigned matters, interface directly with clients, and play a vital role in team development and mentoring.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
- Technical Background: Degree in Electronics, Software, Computer Science, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Legal Credentials: Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office; an LL.B. degree is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: In-depth knowledge of Indian patent law and procedural workflows, sharp analytical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional legal drafting skills.
