Singhania & Partners LLP, one of India's premier full-service law firms renowned for its formidable infrastructure and dispute resolution practices, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate – Infrastructure for a major consultancy assignment in Dwarka, New Delhi.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate within this dedicated consultancy mandate, you will play a critical role acting as Key Sub-Professional Staff. Working closely with the Partner and Key Legal Expert, you will manage complex contractual landscapes, steer dispute mitigation strategies, and safeguard project implementation on major national infrastructure endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Contractual & Legal Dispute Management: Assist in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and managing legal and contractual disputes arising during ongoing project execution.
- Document Vetting: Undertake high-level legal vetting of sensitive project documentation, including concession agreements, EPC contracts, notices, formal replies, and critical stakeholder correspondence.
- In-Depth Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive research into applicable statutory frameworks, sectoral regulations, precedents, and policy developments relevant to roads, highways, and infrastructure development.
- Opinions & Strategic Briefs: Formulate detailed legal opinions, advisory notes, and dispute strategy briefs for review by the Team Leader / Key Legal Expert.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records, case files, and accurate documentation across all legal proceedings and advisory matters handled during the assignment.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Education: Law degree (LL.B./LL.M.) from a recognized, reputed university or institution with a minimum average grade of 50% across undergraduate and postgraduate education.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification legal experience (PQE).
- Sector Experience: Proven background in the roads/highways and infrastructure sector advising public/private concessionaires, developers, or statutory authorities/government agencies.
- Dispute Resolution Expertise: Demonstrated experience in contentious matters, arbitration, dispute management, and legal vetting of claims, notices, and replies.
- Track Record: Documented experience handling at least 2 relevant projects or cases (exposure to up to 3 additional relevant projects/cases will be strongly favored).
Location & Reporting
This position is on-site based in Dwarka, New Delhi, reporting directly to the Partner / Key Legal Expert.
