About the Opportunity / Organizer
Established in 2001 as Shantanu Mohan and Associates and rebranded as SMA Legal in 2012, SMA Legal is a premier boutique legal advisory firm headquartered in Chandigarh. The firm specializes in non-contentious legal solutions, providing high-end advisory services in Indian Business Advisory, Corporate and Commercial Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, NRI Services, Expert Work, and Investigation Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft legal opinions, commercial contracts, and documentation.
- Assist partners and senior associates in case management and strategic client advisory.
- Systematically manage client files, transactional records, and legal correspondence.
- Support overall legal operations and corporate advisory matters handled by the firm.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Law graduates, preferably holding an LL.M. degree.
- Fresh law graduates and candidates with up to 1–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) are eligible.
- Prior internship or law firm experience is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Superior command over written and spoken English.
Stipend, Perks & Compensation
- Remuneration: ₹25,000 – ₹28,000 per month for LL.M. graduates. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with extensive experience.
- Number of Vacancies: 2 positions (Full-time).
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (On-site, Chandigarh).
