About the Role
As a Research Associate at SPRF India, you will be at the forefront of public policy research, bridging the gap between rigorous academic inquiry and actionable public commentary. You will work on multidimensional projects, craft compelling commentary, and help drive evidence-based dialogue across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Content Generation: Produce original research outputs, including policy commentaries, issue briefs, discussion papers, videos, and podcasts.
- Project Development & Proposal Writing: Assist in ideating long-term research initiatives, conducting preliminary literature reviews, and identifying potential donors or strategic partners.
- Editorial & Curation Leadership: Co-manage editorial duties for SPRF’s flagship Curated Voices Project and ensure the highest quality standards across research drafts.
- Project Management: Support ongoing long-term initiatives and manage multi-stakeholder research projects seamlessly.
- Public Engagement: Represent SPRF India at external conferences, support organizational events, and create engageable social media content for research dissemination.
Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant research experience, ideally within a think tank, academic institution, or non-profit organization.
- Methodological Skills: Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research analytical capabilities. Proficiency in statistical tools such as SPSS, STATA, or R is a distinct advantage.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of synthesizing complex data into accessible insights.
- Work Ethic: High organizational skill, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid environment.
