About the Opportunity & Organisers
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, is one of India's premier national law universities. The Society of International Law and Policy (SILP) is an academic society at NUJS dedicated to creating awareness about contemporary international legal issues. SILP invites original blog submissions for a Special Edition commemorating 80 years of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Theme & Scope
Main Theme: Commemorating 80 Years of the International Court of Justice: The Court's Role in Contemporary International Law Amidst a Changing World Order and Its Future.
Contributors are encouraged to critically engage with the ICJ's evolving jurisprudence, its legitimacy, advisory opinions, jurisdiction, advisory roles, environmental disputes, use of force, and human rights issues in international law.
Categories & Word Limits
- Category 1: Long Articles & Discussions: 2,000 to 2,500 words
- Category 2: Short Articles: 1,000 to 1,500 words
Eligibility & Qualifications
Open to students, researchers, academicians, legal practitioners, policy professionals, and anyone interested in international law and the work of the ICJ.
