Your Role and Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Editorial Associate, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of Practical Law's digital offerings. Your responsibilities will include:
- Legal Research & Content Writing: Conduct comprehensive legal and market research, and assist with writing and copy-editing high-quality legal content.
- Quality Assurance & Site Maintenance: Review document templates for accurate rendering on the live site, resolve template-related issues, and proofread online content for errors and broken links.
- AI & LLM Evaluation: Participate in the future of legal tech by evaluating AI and Large Language Model (LLM) tools through active experimentation, prompt engineering, and result assessment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with internal colleagues and external contributors, and respond to customer queries to support publication accuracy.
- Data & Business Intelligence: Collate business intelligence reports and content-management data to drive strategic editorial decisions.
Who We Are Looking For (Eligibility Criteria)
To excel in this role, you should possess a unique blend of legal knowledge, technical curiosity, and exceptional communication skills:
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), integrated undergraduate law degree, or 3+ years of professional paralegal experience.
- Jurisdictional Knowledge: Prior experience or familiarity with the UK and US legal systems is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Outstanding writing, communication, proofreading, and organizational skills with an uncompromising attention to detail.
- Tech Savviness: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior experience with publishing, online content management, or legal tech platforms is highly preferred.
- Bonus Points: Prior legal training, formal practice experience, or a keen interest in prompt engineering and AI technologies.
Work Structure & Location
This is a hybrid position based out of Thomson Reuters' state-of-the-art office in Hyderabad, Telangana. You will enjoy the flexibility of working from home while collaborating in-office generally 2–3 days per week.
