About the Role & Opportunities
As a Research Fellow, you will work at the intersection of AI, big data, and legal compliance. You will receive 1-on-1 career mentorship from former corporate legal team members of Magic Circle firms like Freshfields and Linklaters (London office). Exceptional performers stand a chance to secure Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) along with high-value performance bonuses ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000 per originated dataset transaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate & Legal Analysis: Analyze UK corporate registries (including Companies House and The Gazette) and legal dockets to track enterprise trigger events.
- GDPR Compliance Checks: Conduct preliminary legal feasibility checks on enterprise datasets for compliance with EDPB anonymisation standards under UK GDPR Recital 26.
- Market Intelligence Mapping: Research and map direct contact profiles for General Counsels, Chief Data Officers, and CFOs across £100M+ UK industrial and manufacturing entities.
- Executive Briefing: Draft concise, high-impact one-page executive intelligence briefs detailing target systems and data availability.
- Note: The role is strictly focused on legal research and intelligence—no cold sales or client outreach required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of a 5-year integrated LL.B. or 2nd/3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. at a recognized law school.
- Strong academic foundation or demonstrated interest in Corporate Law, IP, Data Privacy (especially UK/EU GDPR), and IT Law.
- Proven legal research, corporate filing analysis, and commercial due diligence skills.
- Availability for a minimum duration of 2 months (extendable based on performance).
