WAPCOS Limited, formerly known as Water and Power Consultancy Services (India) Limited, is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. Incorporated on June 26, 1969, WAPCOS holds Mini Ratna Category-I status and provides engineering consultancy and EPC services in the water, power and infrastructure sectors in India and overseas.
About the Opportunity
WAPCOS Limited is inviting applications to empanel Young Professionals in Legal, Finance, Contract Management and Mass Communication for specific and time-bound assignments.
For the Young Professional – Legal position, candidates will be engaged as and when required during the validity of the panel. The engagement is particularly relevant for law graduates with an interest or background in corporate law, contract law, infrastructure law and arbitration.
Eligibility
For the Young Professional – Legal position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
LL.B. from a reputed/recognised institution or university is essential.
LL.M. or specialisation in Corporate Law, Contract Law, Infrastructure Law, Arbitration or related fields is desirable.
Candidates must have 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
The maximum age limit is 30 years.
Candidates must submit self-attested copies of educational certificates from matriculation onwards and work experience certificates issued by the employer(s).

Engagement Details
Method of Engagement: Short-term
Panel Validity: 1 year from the date of empanelment
Initial Contract Period: 1 year
Extension: May be extended up to 2 years on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance
The engagement does not create any right to renewal or absorption in regular service.
Working Hours: Same as regular WAPCOS employees, with attendance recorded through the biometric system.
No additional remuneration is provided for work performed beyond office hours or on weekends and gazetted holidays.
Remuneration
The remuneration for Young Professionals is:
₹40,000 per month for candidates with 1 year of relevant experience.
₹50,000 per month for candidates with 2 years of relevant experience.
Income tax and other applicable taxes will be deducted at source.
Leave and Allowances
Selected Young Professionals will be entitled to 8 days of leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis, with no carry-forward of unused leave.
There are no separate monthly allowances such as conveyance or house rent allowance. However, work-related travel outside Delhi will be reimbursed through actual travel costs and daily allowance as per WAPCOS rules.
Restrictions and Confidentiality
During the engagement, Young Professionals:
Cannot work for, represent or advise any person or organisation other than WAPCOS.
Must maintain confidentiality regarding WAPCOS information.
Cannot represent, advise or work for any person in a manner detrimental to WAPCOS for 2 years after termination of the engagement.
Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through a personal interview by a Selection Committee.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
Original certificates must be produced for verification.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Selected candidates must provide integrity certificates from two references.
Candidates must also submit a self-undertaking confirming that no criminal case is pending against them.
Notice Period
Either party may terminate the engagement by providing 30 days' written notice.
WAPCOS may terminate the engagement immediately in cases of proven misconduct.

The completed application must reach the designated WAPCOS office by October 8, 2026. Incomplete applications, applications without supporting documents and applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
