Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management & Drafting: Spearhead the drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing of commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), vendor agreements, and strategic legal documents.
- Litigation & Dispute Management: Actively handle legal notices, consumer disputes, corporate claims, and regulatory matters. Coordinate effectively with external litigation counsel and internal business teams.
- Regulatory & Legal Metrology Compliance: Oversee statutory compliance under Legal Metrology laws, including packaging, labelling, declarations, and product compliance standards.
- Strategic Advisory: Deliver proactive, day-to-day legal advice to internal business units, identifying potential contractual and operational risks to safeguard the company's interests.
- Research & Opinions: Conduct comprehensive legal research, formulate strategic legal opinions, and draft responses to legal notices and official communications.
- Legal Operations: Maintain up-to-date legal records, contract tracking systems, litigation trackers, and case documentation.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Education: LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial contracts and general corporate/legal matters.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional drafting, negotiation, legal research, and analytical capabilities. Strong understanding of Legal Metrology is highly desirable.
- Mindset: Practical, business-oriented approach with stellar cross-departmental coordination skills.
- Linguistic Skills: High fluency in English, Hindi, and Tamil is required.
- Location Preference: Candidates currently based in or willing to relocate immediately to Chennai will be preferred.
