Section 1
Short title and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1980.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd day of September, 1980.

Section 10
Saving of pending proceedings under sections 108, 109 and 110.
All proceedings under sections 108, 109 and 110 of the principal Act, pending before any Judicial Magistrate of the first class immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, be dealt with as if this Act had not been enacted.
