About the Organisation
The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is a statutory body constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to provide free and competent legal services to eligible sections of society and ensure equal access to justice. It also organizes Lok Adalats, promotes legal awareness, and strengthens the legal aid framework across India.
About the Internship
NALSA's Internship Programme offers law students practical exposure to the functioning of legal services institutions through orientation sessions, research assignments, interactions with legal aid institutions, and field visits to various judicial and legal service bodies.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme from a recognised university.
Have secured at least 60% marks in the previous academic year/semester.
Be available to undertake the internship on a full-time, physical basis.
Not be pursuing any other course or employment during the internship period.

Internship Highlights
Interns will:
Attend an orientation programme on the functioning of NALSA.
Study NALSA's schemes, SOPs, modules, and statistical reports.
Visit the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authorities, Legal Aid Defense Counsel Office, and National Lok Adalat.
Gain exposure to Remand Courts, CAW Cells, District Magistrate's Office, and other legal institutions.
Visit the Mediation Centre at the Supreme Court of India, the Supreme Court Library, and the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee.
Participate in an interaction session with the NALSA team at the conclusion of the internship.
Dress Code
Formal Black & White attire as prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi.
