About the Internship

The Office of Hon'ble Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is inviting applications for its full-time, in-person Judicial Internship Programme commencing from August 2026 onwards.

The internship is conducted on a rolling basis, with internships ordinarily commencing on the first working day of every month, unless otherwise specified. Selected interns will receive first-hand exposure to the functioning of the Supreme Court of India, judicial research, and the day-to-day work of a Judge's office.

At the commencement of the programme, interns will participate in an orientation programme covering judicial procedures, office policies, research tools, templates, protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Students in the second year or above of a 3-year LL.B. programme, or

  • Students in the fourth year or above of a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme.

Interns will gain exposure to:

  • Judicial Research

  • Constitutional Law

  • Supreme Court Practice

  • Judicial Procedures

  • Legal Analysis

Selection Process

  • Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

  • Applicants are advised to apply at least five weeks before their intended internship start date.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed telephonically or virtually.

  • Selected applicants will ordinarily receive confirmation 2–4 weeks before the commencement of the internship.

Duration

  • Commencing from August 2026 onwards.

  • Internships ordinarily begin on the first working day of every month.
