1st Inter-University Mediation Competition 2026 by Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law

Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law (SVIL), Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, is inviting registrations for the 1st Inter-University Mediation Competition, 2026 – NYAYASETU. The competition aims to promote mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) by providing law students with practical exposure to mediation proceedings. Conducted in a hybrid format, the competition features online preliminary and semi-final rounds from 10–12 September 2026, followed by the offline final round on 26 September 2026 at the university campus in Indore.

About the Competition

NYAYASETU is the inaugural edition of the Inter-University Mediation Competition organised by Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law under the theme "Bridging Conflicts through Dialogue: Advancing Mediation in Contemporary India." The competition is designed to strengthen negotiation, mediation, communication, and dispute resolution skills among law students while promoting the practical application of ADR mechanisms.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students pursuing:

• 5-Year Integrated LL.B. programmes

• 3-Year LL.B. programmes

Registration Fee

• ₹2,000 per team

Prizes

• Winner: ₹11,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit

• Runner-Up: ₹6,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit

• Best Mediator: ₹3,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit

• Participation Certificates for all participants.

• Registration Opens: 21 July 2026

• Release of Problem: 8 September 2026

• Online Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds: 10–11 September 2026

• Online Semi-Final: 12 September 2026

• Offline Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: 26 September 2026

Registration Process

Interested teams must complete the official registration form and pay the registration fee. Registration will be confirmed only after submission of the registration form with the required details and successful payment.
