Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla is a premier law school in India established under the Himachal Pradesh National Law University Act, dedicated to providing quality legal education and fostering research, innovation, and leadership in the legal sphere.

Competition Scope & Theme

Lexcelerate’26 is a Shark Tank-style legal startup idea pitching competition focused on developing innovative, technology-driven solutions to challenges facing the legal ecosystem.

• Theme: Access to Justice
• Participants will pitch their startup ideas before an esteemed panel comprising legal professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
• Submissions and ideas may be at the conceptual, prototype, or operational stage.
• The idea must address an existing challenge relating to law, justice delivery, legal education, compliance, policy, or allied sectors.
• Date: September 30, 2026
• Mode: Hybrid (Offline at HPNLU Shimla & Online)

Eligibility & Criteria

• The competition is open to everyone (students, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs).
• Participants may compete individually or in teams of up to three (3) members.
• Each participant or team may submit only one startup idea.

Prizes & Perks

• Winner: ₹12,000 cash prize + free LawMento course + Certificate of Merit
• Runner-up: ₹8,000 cash prize + 50% discount on any LawMento course + Certificate of Merit
• Third Position: Certificate of Merit
• All Participants: 30% discount on any LawMento course + Certificate of Participation
• Incubation: Opportunity to incubate the startup idea.

Registration Details & Fees

• General Participants: ₹500 per head
• HPNLU Students: ₹350 per head
