The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi Campus is hosting the National Legal Hackathon 2026. This execution-focused, problem-solving competition is designed to foster practical innovations, legal tech tools, service models, and legal startup concepts that directly address real-world challenges faced by lawyers, the judiciary, law students, and legal processes.
Open to students from any discipline, including law, technology, management, and related fields.
Participation is not restricted to law students; interdisciplinary teams are highly encouraged.
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.
Members can be from the same or different colleges/institutions.
The proposed solution must solve a clear, practical problem within the legal ecosystem.
Stage 1 (Online Submission): Submit a structured business idea or legal startup proposal in PDF format.
Stage 2 (Shortlisting): Approximately 20 teams will be selected for the on-campus rounds.
Stage 3 (Preliminary Round & Workshop): On-campus presentation on October 16, 2026. Participants also get access to a complimentary Legal Startup Workshop led by Dr. Kalpesh Sarwal.
Stage 4 (Final Round): Top 5 teams present their final pitches on October 17, 2026.

Preliminary Round & Workshop: October 16, 2026
Final Round: October 17, 2026
Winner: Cash Prize of ₹30,000 + Memento + Certificate of Merit
Runner-up: Cash Prize of ₹20,000 + Memento + Certificate of Merit
Venue: National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi Campus, Outer Ring Rd, Rohini, Delhi – 110085.
Registration Fee: ₹2,500 per team (without accommodation).
Complete the online registration form before September 24, 2026.
Prepare your structured legal startup/business proposal as per the prescribed rulebook and submit the PDF by September 26, 2026.
