S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, a constituent college of the Central University of Allahabad, was established in 1975 with the objective of promoting women's education and empowerment.
The college offers undergraduate programmes including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Ed. and B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Law Course, along with postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The institution has been awarded an ‘A’ grade by NAAC in its last two assessment cycles.
The Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj, is organising the 4th Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition, 2026.
The competition is being organised in collaboration with Chandhiok & Mahajan, with SCC Online as the Exclusive Knowledge Partner and SCC Times as the Exclusive Media Partner.
The Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition 2026 aims to develop and test students' legal research, analytical reasoning, critical thinking and persuasive advocacy skills through a national-level moot court competition.
The competition offers a total cash prize pool of ₹3.9 lakh, including ₹2 lakh for the Winner and ₹1 lakh for the Runner-Up, in addition to prizes for Best Memorial, Best Speaker and Best Researcher.
The competition is open to students currently enrolled in a Five-Year Integrated Course in Law at an institution officially recognised by the Bar Council of India.
The eligibility requirements are:
Participants must be enrolled in a recognised Five-Year Integrated Law Course.
Each institution is entitled to send only one team to the competition.
The moot proposition for the 4th Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition revolves around the increasingly contested intersection of Competition Law and Data Protection Law in the context of digital markets.
The competition will require participants to examine contemporary legal issues arising from the relationship between competition regulation, data protection and digital markets.
Shortlisted teams are required to pay a registration fee of ₹3,000 per team for final registration.
The deadline for final registration and payment of the registration fee is 10:00 PM IST on November 1, 2026.
