Nyayavani Foundation is proud to announce the Nyayavani National (Virtual) Moot Court Competition 2.0 (NNMCC 2.0). This premium virtual moot court competition offers law students across the nation an exceptional platform to showcase their advocacy, research, and legal drafting skills on complex constitutional and socio-legal issues.
The moot problem revolves around the fictional Republic of Indica (pari materia to India). It challenges participants to address highly relevant and contemporary constitutional debates, including:
The constitutional validity of animal preservation laws (specifically bans on cow, bull, and bullock slaughter).
The balance between the religious sentiments of the majority community and the traditional food habits/livelihoods of minority communities in a secular state.
The interpretation of Article 48 (Directive Principles of State Policy) and Article 51A(g) (Fundamental Duties) of the Constitution.
The validity of criminalizing the possession of beef and shifting the burden of proof onto the accused.
The competition is open to all students pursuing undergraduate law degrees (3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programs) from any recognized university or college.
