The prestigious Surana & Surana Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition: North & South Rounds 2026-27 is one of the most highly anticipated trial advocacy events in the Indian legal calendar. Designed to test and nurture the trial court skills of budding lawyers, this competition provides a realistic simulation of criminal trial proceedings, including chief examinations, cross-examinations, and final arguments.

The moot case revolves around a tragic homicidal assault involving an estranged couple, Jamie and Cersei. After a history of domestic discord fueled by chronic alcoholism, Cersei was brutally assaulted with a wooden log near the Dorne Bypass Road, leading to her death. The prosecution charges the husband, Jamie, under Sections 103(1) (Murder) and 126 (Wrongful Restraint) of the Baratheon Nyaya Sanhita (interpreted in pari materia with Indian criminal laws).
