The Department of Juridical Sciences, JIS University, Kolkata, is organising the 5th National Level Moot Court Competition 2026 on 30 September and 1 October 2026. The on-campus national-level moot court competition is open to law students from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
The last date to register is August 20, 2026.
The Department of Juridical Sciences, JIS University, Kolkata, offers legal education through integrated undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
With the growing demand for legal professionals across law firms, corporate sectors, banking, and public institutions, JIS University aims to provide students with professional legal education and training.
The 5th National Level Moot Court Competition 2026 is being organised by the Department of Juridical Sciences, JIS University.
The competition will be conducted on campus over two days:

The competition provides law students with an opportunity to develop their mooting, legal research, written advocacy, and oral advocacy skills while competing against teams from law institutions across India.
The competition is open to:
Law colleges
Law schools
Institutions imparting legal education
Participating institutions must be recognized under the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Students pursuing both:
5-year integrated law programmes, and
3-year LL.B. programmes
are eligible to participate.
Each team can consist of a maximum of three members:
2 Speakers
1 Researcher
If a team wishes to change its composition after registration, it must inform the Moot Court Committee by email.
Any such change will be permitted at the discretion of the Moot Court Committee.
