About the Organization

Avantika University, located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is dedicated to providing transformative education across design, law, public policy, management, and engineering. The School of Law and Public Policy focuses on experiential legal learning, empowering students to evolve into ethical, critical-thinking, and proficient legal professionals and policymakers.

Competition Overview & Format

The School of Law and Public Policy presents Avantika’s Nyayashastra 3rd PAN-India Moot Court Competition, 2026. This premier national-level competition invites students from recognized law schools across India to test and enhance their courtroom advocacy, legal research, and appellate briefing capabilities. The competition is structured in a hybrid mode:

• Online Phase: Researcher’s Test, Draw of Lots, Memorial Exchange, Preliminary Rounds I & II, and Quarter-Final Rounds.
• Offline Phase: Semi-Final Rounds, Final Rounds, and the Valedictory Ceremony conducted on-campus at Avantika University, Ujjain.

Themes

The moot proposition focuses on:

• Constitutional Law
• Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART Act, 2021)
• Transgender Rights
• Family Law and Law of Succession

Eligibility & Team Composition

• Enrolled undergraduate law students pursuing a 3-year LL.B. or a 5-year integrated law degree program from any recognized institution across India.
• Only one team per institution is permitted to participate.
• Teams may consist of 2 members (both Speakers) or 3 members (two Speakers and one Researcher).

Prizes & Awards

A cumulative cash prize pool of ₹40,000/- will be awarded alongside certificates:

• Winner Team: Cash Prize of ₹17,500/-
• Runner-Up Team: Cash Prize of ₹10,000/-
• Best Memorial: Cash Prize of ₹6,000/-
• Best Mooter: Cash Prize of ₹4,000/-
• Best Researcher: Cash Prize of ₹2,500/-
• Participation: E-Certificates of Participation awarded to all registered competitors.

• Release of Moot Proposition: 27th August 2026
• Registration & Fee Payment Deadline: 20th October 2026 (23:59 IST)
• Last Date for Clarifications: 20th October 2026 (23:59 IST)
• Memorial Soft Copy Submission: 21st October 2026 (23:59 IST)
• Researcher’s Test & Draw of Lots (Online): 21st October 2026
• Preliminary Rounds I & II (Online): 22nd October 2026
• Quarter-Final Rounds (Online): 23rd October 2026
• Semi-Finals, Finals & Valedictory Ceremony (On Campus): 5th November 2026

Registration Details & Process

The registration fee is ₹3,000/- per team (non-refundable). Teams must complete their registration via the online Google Form on or before 20th October 2026 (23:59 IST). Payment must be completed via the UPI QR code available in the registration form, and the transaction proof must be uploaded during submission.
