Central Law College National Moot Court Competition 2026

Central Law College, Lucknow is organizing the Central Law College National Moot Court Competition 2026. This flagship national moot provides law students with a valuable platform to hone their advocacy skills, legal research, memorial drafting, and analytical reasoning in a rigorous competitive setting.

Theme & Moot Proposition

The moot proposition revolves around contemporary legal and ethical issues concerning constitutional and criminal law, specifically focusing on:

• Physician-administered active euthanasia and the right to die with dignity.
• Constitutional interpretations of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India.
• Withdrawal and withholding of life-sustaining medical treatment.
• Intentional administration of lethal substances and penal exceptions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS).

Eligibility & Team Composition

• Eligibility: Open to bona fide law students enrolled in undergraduate law courses (3-Year or 5-Year LL.B.) from any recognized college, institution, or university.
• Institutions are permitted to send one or more teams.
• Team Size: Teams can comprise either 3 members (2 Speakers + 1 Researcher) or 2 members (Both act as Speakers, with one also designated as the Researcher).
• Coaches or additional team members are strictly not allowed.

Prizes & Awards

• Winning Team: ₹25,000 + Trophy + Medal + Certificate
• Runners-Up: ₹15,000 + Trophy + Medal + Certificate
• Best Speaker: ₹3,000 + Trophy + Medal + Certificate
• Best Memorial: ₹3,000 + Trophy + Medal + Certificate
• Best Researcher: ₹3,000 + Trophy + Medal + Certificate
• Medals will also be awarded to Semi-Finalists. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all participants.

• Semi-Finals, Final Round & Valedictory: October 11, 2026

Registration & Fee Details

• Early Bird Fee: ₹2,200 per team (inclusive of GST) till September 5, 2026.
• Regular Registration Fee: ₹2,500 per team (inclusive of GST).
• Note: Breakfast, lunch, and high tea will be provided during the competition days. Accommodation guidance will be provided by the organizing committee upon request.
