UPES School of Law, Dehradun, is a premier legal education institution focused on developing practical legal skills among law students. The Moot Court Committee provides students with opportunities to strengthen their advocacy, legal research, drafting, and courtroom skills through national and international moot court competitions.
The Moot Court Committee of UPES School of Law, in collaboration with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, is organising the IX Surana & Surana and UPES School of Law Insolvency Law Moot Court Competition, 2026.
The competition is designed as a specialised Insolvency Law Moot Court Competition and provides law students with a platform to engage with contemporary issues relating to corporate restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy law, and insolvency jurisprudence.
The competition aims to provide emerging legal professionals with an opportunity to develop their legal research, memorial drafting, oral advocacy, and analytical reasoning skills while dealing with complex questions of insolvency law.
The theme of the Insolvency Law Moot Court Competition 2026 is:
Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law
The moot will focus on legal issues arising in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy law, providing participants with an opportunity to analyse complex questions concerning corporate insolvency and restructuring.
The competition is open to all bona fide students pursuing a 3-Year or 5-Year LL.B. degree programme from an institution recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
The registration fee is:
₹4,000 per team
The registration fee must be paid in accordance with the procedure and timelines specified in the Official Brochure.
The competition will offer cash prizes, trophies, and merit certificates to participants securing various positions.
