About the Opportunity / Organizer

Kamkus College of Law (KCL), Ghaziabad, established in 2007 under the aegis of Bhagirath Sewa Sansthan, is an esteemed institution approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University. In association with SCC Online as the Official Sponsor, the institution is organizing the prestigious Kamla Sukul Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2026 at its Bhagirath Campus in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities / Competition Scope

The competition provides law students with a distinguished national forum to demonstrate prowess in legal research, memorial drafting, and oral advocacy. The proposition explores the contemporary and crucial intersection of emerging technologies and constitutional law:

• Theme: Generative AI, Deepfakes, Electoral Politics and Constitutional Rights
• Rounds: Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final Round.
• Researcher’s Test: A dedicated Researcher’s Test will be held on 24th October 2026.
• Language: The official language of the competition is English.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Open to students currently pursuing either a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year Integrated Law degree from any recognized Law College/University in India.
• Team Composition: Each team may consist of either 3 members (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher) or 2 members (1 Speaker-Researcher and 1 Speaker).
• Institutional Cap: Only one team per institution is permitted to participate.

• Winner Team: ₹5,100/- + Trophy + 3 One-Year Complimentary Subscriptions to SCC Online Web Edition (valued at ₹1,00,500/-)
• Runner-Up Team: ₹3,000/- + Trophy
• Best Speaker: ₹1,000/- + Trophy
• Best Researcher: ₹1,000/- + Trophy
• Best Memorial: ₹1,000/- + Trophy
• Total Cash Prize Pool: ₹11,100/- (plus subscriptions worth over ₹1 Lakh)
