About the Organisers

The 2nd CCI–MNLUCS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 is organised by the Moot Court Association (MCA) and the Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) of Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLU-CS) in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and Phoenix Legal.

About the Competition

The 2nd CCI–MNLUCS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 is a national-level moot court competition focused on Competition Law (Antitrust Law). The competition aims to strengthen legal research, memorial drafting, and oral advocacy skills while encouraging discussion on contemporary issues in Indian competition law. It provides law students with an opportunity to engage with evolving antitrust jurisprudence and gain practical exposure through a prestigious Competition Law Moot Court Competition.

  • Online Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds: 12–13 September 2026

  • Offline Semi-Final & Final Rounds: 27 September 2026

  • Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra (Offline Rounds)

Eligibility

The National Antitrust Moot Court Competition is open to:

  • Students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes at institutions recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

  • A maximum of two teams per institution may register.

Team Composition

Each team must comprise:

  • Two Speakers, with

  • One optional Researcher.

Additional rules:

  • Two-member teams will not be eligible for the Researcher's Test.

  • All members must belong to the same institution.

  • Team composition cannot be changed except with prior approval from the Organising Committee.

Competition Format

The competition consists of:

  • Memorial Evaluation Round for all registered teams.

  • Top 32 teams based on memorial scores will qualify for the Oral Rounds.

Registration Fee

Stage I

  • ₹4,500 per team (Memorial Evaluation & Online Rounds)

Stage II

  • ₹5,500 per qualifying team (Offline Semi-Finals & Finals, including food and accommodation)

The 2nd CCI–MNLUCS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 offers a total prize pool of ₹1.20 lakh, along with internship opportunities and SCC Online subscriptions.
