The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, has invited submissions for the 4th CNLU–CARCIL National Conference on Securities Laws, 2026, being organized as part of the CNLU–CARCIL National Corporate Fest (CNCF'26).

The conference aims to bring together students, researchers, academicians, legal practitioners, and professionals to discuss contemporary developments in securities and capital markets law. Participants will have the opportunity to present original research before an expert panel, with the top papers receiving recognition and awards.

The Centre regularly organizes research projects, conferences, workshops, lectures, and academic programmes to encourage scholarly discussion and policy-oriented research.

About the Conference

The 4th CNLU–CARCIL National Conference on Securities Laws focuses on emerging developments in India's securities and capital markets framework. The conference seeks to encourage discussions on securities regulation, investor protection, market infrastructure, digital securities, enforcement, financial innovation, and regulatory reforms.

The conference will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, participants must submit an original and unpublished research paper along with the prescribed registration fee. Based on the evaluation of submissions, the top eight papers will be shortlisted.

The shortlisted authors will present their papers during the final round, which will be held offline at the CNLU campus on September 3, 2026. The presentations will be evaluated by expert panels, and outstanding papers will receive prizes and other recognitions.

The above themes are only indicative, and submissions on other relevant topics related to securities and capital markets law are also welcome.

Eligibility

The conference is open to:

  • Students from recognized law and management institutions.

  • Research scholars.

  • Academicians.

  • Practising advocates.

  • Subject matter experts and professionals interested in securities laws.

Submission Guidelines

Authors must submit original and unpublished manuscripts written in English.

The abstract should not exceed 350 words and must be included within the manuscript at the time of submission.

The full paper should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words, excluding footnotes and references.

Submissions must follow the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st Edition).

A maximum of two authors is permitted for each paper.

The manuscript should have a similarity index of not more than 10% after applying appropriate exclusions and filters.

The author's name or institutional affiliation must not appear anywhere in the manuscript to ensure anonymous review.

Authors should not submit the manuscript to any other publication or conference while it is under review.

Payment of the applicable registration fee is mandatory for all authors.

Formatting Guidelines

Manuscripts should be prepared in Times New Roman with a font size of 12 for the main text and 14 for headings. The document should use 1.5 line spacing, justified alignment, and center-aligned headings.

Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single line spacing and justified alignment.

The registration fee is as follows:

  • Students and Research Scholars: ₹2,000

  • Students and Research Scholars (with one co-author): ₹3,500

  • Academicians and Professionals: ₹3,500

  • Academicians and Professionals (with one co-author): ₹6,000

  • Foreign Students and Research Scholars: USD 40

  • Foreign Students and Research Scholars (with one co-author): USD 70

  • Foreign Academicians and Professionals: USD 70

  • Foreign Academicians and Professionals (with one co-author): USD 110

  • Call for Papers Released: June 20, 2026

  • Final Registration Begins: July 5, 2026

  • Last Date for Registration, Fee Payment, and Paper Submission: August 2, 2026

  • Announcement of Top 8 Papers: August 18, 2026

  • Offline Conference at CNLU, Patna: September 3, 2026
