About the Organizer

CHRIST (Deemed to be University)

Established in 1969, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is administered by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation. The University has multiple campuses across India and provides multidisciplinary education to approximately 25,000 students.

The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, is one of India's leading law schools, ranked among the country's top law institutions in the NIRF 2023 Rankings. It is approved by the Bar Council of India and is recognised for its practical legal education and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Law & Technology Committee (LTC)

The Law & Technology Committee (LTC) is the School of Law's premier research and advocacy body dedicated to exploring the intersection of law and emerging technologies, including:

  • Cyber Security

  • Data Protection

The Committee promotes academic engagement through webinars, publications, competitions, its newsletter "GIZMO", and its official website.

Fashion Law Journal (FLJ)

The Fashion Law Journal is an academic platform dedicated to research in Fashion Law, focusing on areas such as:

  • Intellectual Property

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Sustainability

  • E-commerce

  • Emerging legal issues in the fashion industry

The Journal provides research and publication opportunities for students and legal professionals.

About the Competition

FLAIR '26 (Fashion Law, AI & Innovation Review) is the inaugural edition of an annual legal writing competition that seeks to encourage scholarly discourse at the intersection of fashion, law, and technology.

Participants are invited to submit original manuscripts under any of the following categories:

  • Research Article

  • Case Analysis

  • Case Study

The competition aims to promote interdisciplinary legal research on issues involving innovation, technology, sustainability, and the regulation of the fashion industry.

Eligibility

The competition is open to:

  • Undergraduate law students enrolled in recognised 3-Year LL.B. programmes.

  • Undergraduate law students enrolled in recognised 5-Year Integrated LL.B. programmes.

  • Postgraduate law students enrolled in recognised LL.M. programmes.

Co-authorship

  • Maximum 2 authors per submission.

  • Co-authors may belong to different recognised institutions.

  • Co-authorship with a non-law student is permitted, provided that at least one author is enrolled in a recognised law programme and satisfies the prescribed eligibility criteria.

Submission Guidelines

Participants may submit one original manuscript in any one of the following categories:

  • Research Article

  • Case Analysis

  • Case Study

Participants are required to carefully review the Competition Brochure and Submission Guidelines available through the official drive link before making their submission.

Mode

Online / Virtual

Registrations and manuscript submissions will be conducted entirely through online platforms.

Registration Procedure

Participants must:

  • Register through the designated online registration form.

  • Submit their manuscript using the prescribed online submission form.

  • Strictly adhere to the submission guidelines and prescribed timelines.
