About the Competition

The 1st National Memorial Drafting Competition, 2026 is organised to provide law students with an opportunity to strengthen their:

  • Legal research

  • Memorial drafting

  • Legal writing

  • Analytical skills

The competition will be conducted entirely in virtual mode and is open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students from across India.

Participants are required to prepare and submit memorials for both the Petitioner and Respondent sides.

Eligibility

The competition is open to:

  • Undergraduate Law Students

    • 3-Year LL.B.

    • 5-Year Integrated Law Courses

  • Postgraduate Law Students (LL.M.)

Team Composition

Participants may register as:

  • Individual Participant, or

  • Team of Two Members

Additional Guidelines:

  • Cross-institutional teams are permitted.

  • Memorials must be submitted for both the Petitioner and Respondent sides.

Participants must:

  1. Complete the official online registration form.

  2. Pay the prescribed registration fee through the official payment portal:
